San Francisco Archers (SFA) is a premier community archery club and non-profit organization that blends the ancient discipline of the bow with a modern commitment to precision, mental focus, and outdoor stewardship. Rooted in the historic hills of Sharp Park, the club challenges participants to master the "art of the shot," requiring a disciplined mindset that balances the raw mechanics of archery with the nuanced technical demands of form, breath control, and psychological resilience.


My Role

Traditional stock libraries are vast, yet they often feel strangely empty. You can find ten thousand photos of "person in a meeting," but finding one that matches your brand’s specific color palette, the exact diversity of your team, or a niche industry setting is nearly impossible.

I was task with creating the evens marketing materials use to promote the event as well as create the awards that will be handed out at the end of the event.

Process

What I did

Assessing the Event

SF Archers have many event through out the years with varies degree of different themes. I looked over the types of events that are happening and look over the previous events and poster design and asset the information of what is needed and what can be taken out

Using AI

With AI i was able to design and crat the narrative of their tournament event.

narrative events such as the bug shoot and the One Million B.C. Shoot.

Inspiration

The event inspired me to create the design to be similar to movie posters based on the events that is being promoted.

Too Much info

they were given me the things that needs to be included in the poster, but there were too much information that was not needed

Solution

The solution to this is to create two version of the advertisement to satisfy the needs of promoting the event in different platform.

Results

in the end the promotional materials were a success as one of the even hit a new record of people signing up for the event. filling up over 50% of the capacity in one day and over 80% with in the week of release. by the next few days the event was full to capacity and the event was more than a month a way.


Takeaways


What I Learned

The owner was very impressed with the amount of work and detailed that have been put in, in redesigning everything. in the end we didn’t end up collaborating on the redesign, instead we kept in contact with each other in helping with other proposed work like flyers and other hand out materials.
